Frequently Asked Questions
Today’s financial world is constantly changing (just like your financial life) so it is important to keep up with these changes and avoid costly errors. New laws along with new investment products are continually introduced to investors and are rarely clear or concise.
Also, Vanguard did a major study that estimates investors who work with a financial advisor using well known and accepted wealth management best practices average 3% more in net returns than investors who do not. You can read it here.
Highlights of where that 3% comes from:
-Suitable asset allocation using broadly diversified funds/ETFs
-Cost-effective implementation (expense ratios)
-Rebalancing
-Behavioral coaching
-Asset location
-Spending strategy
-Total return versus income investing
Why work with you over another financial advisor?
Our firm was built for people wanting more than a stereotypical financial advisor relationship.
Instead of just managing your investments and calling you once a year to review them, we build relationships to help you plan your financial future and get you to where you want to be.
I have a solid mix of industry experience and still plan to be in this in industry for decades to come.
If this is what you are looking for, we could be the right fit for you.
Why flat fees and not the industry standard 1% AUM (assets under management)?
The flat-fee approach is more transparent and better equipped to meet clients’ needs, offering resources tailored to the complexity of their financial situations.
Longer answer: Clients with larger brokerage account balances shouldn’t have to pay their advisor more because they saved more in their brokerage/retirement accounts. Additionally, the AUM fee structure might discourage advisors from recommending beneficial actions to the client that reduce their AUM.
Are you a fiduciary?
Yes, 100% of the time. When working with a financial professional, a fiduciary should be the bare minimum.
What is the Continuing Education Course refund policy?
Our current course line-up is free. Refunds are not necessary at this time.
You are based in Arizona, can you work with clients outside the state?
Yes, we can work with clients in any state.
Where will my investment accounts be located?
We manage client accounts at our preferred custodian, Charles Schwab.
Advice-Only clients, those who continue to manage their investments themselves can maintain accounts anywhere. (e.g. If you really like Vanguard and want to keep your accounts at Vanguard, that is not a problem here)
